Be still our beating hearts - this renovated farmhouse in the countryside of Limburg, the Netherlands, is the perfect combination of modern and rustic. Modern joinery and metals sit beautifully alongside the original beams and stonework, while soft textures and warm colours prevent it becoming cold and unwelcoming. The modern crafting of the bespoke joinery is a wonderful testament and reflection of the historical craftsmanship of the building; by choosing modern designs created with traditional methods  the house's authenticity is lovingly preserved for many more hundreds of years.
